Brooklyn is adjusting really well to preschool. She loves it. She is a quiet little monitor. I always hear about who wasn't listening or obeying their teacher. I would love to be a fly on the wall and see what she's really like once I'm not there. When I'm around she tends to be quiet and shy if put on the spot and relying upon me to tell people things for her. I think this is a good opportunity for her to learn to express herself. I think this is a critical skill in todays world, being able to stand up for yourself and be different. I love to pick her up everyday. She always has a big smile on her face and really seems to enjoy it.
With this Egyptian flu I have really been down and out more than up and in. We have watched way too many movies so I can just lie on the couch wallowing in my misery. It's been 2 days without any nausea medication and I have hit the 12 week mark so hopefully I'll be feeling better soon! I sure hope so, I'm ready to start feeling good again for a little while anyway. :) I've at least done a couple loads of laundry so we might have a few things to wear.
I'm so grateful for my sweet husband, he's been taking such good care of me when he's around. He's been taking the initiative on dinner, doing the dishes, and putting the girls to bed which is no easy task as any parent knows, he's even thrown in some laundry and helped fold and put it away. I'm so blessed. I think one of the important things I've learned in the last few years is that it's ok to ask for help, and that it is definitely ok to receive help. I tend to be so independent and feel like I have to do everything myself, and do it perfectly or it isn't any good. I'm thankful for the lessons that I've learned, for the dear friends who are so patient and have taught me so much. I truly am blessed and surrounded by angels.
